INTERNET RESEARCH

The wealth of information available on the internet is almost unimaginable. Even the most obscure topic may appear in an improbably large number of documents. Sorting through this ocean of material would be quite impractical in most cases without the use of a search engine. Large sites often contain a searchable index and a number of commercial sites (such as Google and AltaVista) provide an opportunity to explore broad areas of cyberspace.

This environment presents two challenges to the web developer. First, it's important to be aware of how a document relates to other on-line resources. Secondly, pages should be coded in such a way that they are readily accessible to the programs operated by search engines; in other words, you want people to be able to find them.

MMI builds web sites carefully, focusing on content and results. Our "better mousetraps" will have viewers beating a path to your door so fast it will make your hit counter spin. [HOME] [Contact Us]
